Some additions to the review
As I wrote, the goal of the mentioned course was linking the personal experience of the participating students with cultural beliefs.
The text about this course was published in 1993 - and here I had to think about the subject´s development of the last 13 years.
I personally feel feminism as a academic and also sociocultural theme was more "en vogue" than nowadays. They want make us believe in a "now reached sexual equality" - after the last 40 years they know, that this is much easier than to discourse.
To combine feminism and death as female subjects is obvious (like a lot of other current themes) - when we consider the way our socio-cultural understanding still handels with these topical subjects!
